I know a mess

when I see one

because I am one

Christians believe:

Jesus loves the little messes,

all the little messes of the world

Jesus loves the little messes,

all the little messes of the world

But he loves us too much

to leave us this way

Stay out of trouble

I thank my God every time I remember you.

In all my prayers for all of you, I always pray with joy because of your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now,

Philippians 1:3-5

being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you

will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus.

Philippians 1:6

And this is my prayer

Philippians 1:9

And this is my prayer:

That you stay out of trouble

And keep your hands to yourself

Philippians 1:9

And this is my prayer that your love may abound more and more in knowledge and depth of insight.

Philippians 1:9

More and more

You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by its deceitful desires;

Ephesians 4:22

to be made new in the attitude of your minds;

Ephesians 4:23

and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.

Ephesians 4:24

Old self < New self

Therefore each of you must put off falsehood and speak truthfully to your neighbor, for we are all members of one body.

Ephesians 4:25

Lies < Truth

“In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,  and do not give the devil a foothold.

Ephesians 4:26-27

Anger < Healthy conflict

Anyone who has been stealing must steal no longer but must work, doing something useful with their own hands, that they may have something to share with those in need.

Ephesians 4:28

Stealing < Provide

Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.

Ephesians 4:29

Tearing down < Building up

And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, with whom you were sealed for the day of redemption.

Ephesians 4:30

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice.

Ephesians 4:31

Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.

Ephesians 4:32

Bitterness < Compassion

Old self <    New self

Lies <    Truth
